This item is a request to approve the recommended award for Request for Proposal (RFP) #RTSX-140009-DS and execute a contract with Tindale-Oliver & Associates, Inc., to conduct a Transit Development Plan (TDP) for the Regional Transit System (RTS).
Explanation
On July 25, 2013, the City's Purchasing Division solicited Request for Proposals (RFP) to conduct a state-mandated Transit Development Plan (TDP) for the Regional Transit System (RTS). The RFP process was implemented in compliance with, and as required by, the Federal Transit Administration (FTA), Florida Statutes and City of Gainesville policies.
One (1) proposal was submitted by the deadline. The submission contained technical and written proposals and a cost component of $136,589. An evaluation team consisting of City staff evaluated the proposal. The proposal was submitted by Tindale-Oliver & Associates, Inc. RTS desires to enter into a contract with Tindale-Oliver & Associates, Inc.
Fiscal Note
Funds in the amount of $136,589 have been provided by federal grants and are available in the FY14 RTS budget to negotiate with Tindale-Oliver & Associates, Inc.
Recommendation
The City Commission authorize the City Manager or his designee to execute a contract with Tindale-Oliver & Associates, Inc., for the Transit Development Plan (TDP) for the Regional Transit System (RTS), subject to approval by the City Attorney as to form and legality.
