explanation
On September 30, 2013, the City was served with an Amended Summons to Show Cause and Notice of Hearing Date along with an Amended Petition in Eminent Domain and Amended Declaration of Taking filed by the State of Florida Department of Transportation in the Circuit Court. The Department of Transportation is condemning certain property in the vicinity of Depot Park. The City has a lien on the property in question as a result of a Code Enforcement Board lien for demolition costs of a structure. The properties will eventually be transferred from DOT to the City.
