Future Annexation Strategies (NB)
Explanation
During the February 3, 2015 Committee meeting staff made a presentation on annexation including historical trends, maps, and policies.
On March 3, 2015 staff gave a presentation identifying the City's strengths and weaknesses for commercial, undeveloped and residential properties, the "myths" that accompany annexation, and areas contiguous to the City that might have the best chance for future annexation.
The committee directed staff to develop a list of items the Commission can control and those items out of their control, develop a strong position statement and rethink the City's marketing strategy with respect to annexation.

Recommendation
The Committee members: 1) Hear a presentation from staff; 2) Take any action deemed appropriate; and 3) Remove from the referral list.
