This item is to ratify a one-year Wages Amendment to the Agreement between the City and the ATU Bargaining Unit.
Explanation
Following impasse proceedings, this Amendment to the Agreement was reached through negotiations between the ATU Bargaining Unit and the City of Gainesville, and was ratified by the ATU Bargaining Unit on January 14, 2015. This Amendment resolves the Wages reopener for the second year of the current Collective Bargaining Agreement, which extends to September 30, 2015.
A copy of the Amendment is on file in the Office of the Clerk of the Commission. After February 5, 2015, the Amendment will be on file in the Human Resources Department.
Fiscal Note
Funds are available in the RTS fund balance for the retroactive portion of these raises. The cost impact of the raises going forward is included in FY15 budgeted payroll for RTS.
Recommendation
The City Commission ratify the Amendment to the Agreement between the ATU Bargaining Unit and the City of Gainesville.
