On June 16, 2015, the City was served with a Summons and Complaint filed by Cynthia Patrick and Roy Vaughn in the Circuit Court. Cynthia Patrick alleges that on or about May 3, 2012, she tripped and fell on uneven sidewalk pavers while walking "in or about the Bo Diddley Community Plaza". Cynthia Patrick claims to have suffered bodily injury and resulting pain and suffering, disability, disfigurement, mental anguish, loss of capacity for the enjoyment of life, expensive hospitalization, medical and nursing care and treatment, loss ofearnings, loss of ability to earn money and/or aggravation of a previously existing condition.
