Northeast Residential Historic District - Rehabilitation of an Auxiliary Structure (B)

 

Concept Review.  Doug Nesbit, agent for Dylan Klempner.  Rehabilitation of an auxiliary structure.  Located at 724 NE 5th Terrace.

 

Explanation

This project involves the rehabilitation of a contributing auxiliary structure. The structure is divided into two halves by an interior partition wall. The northern portion of the building has a cement foundation, while the southern portion has a raised wooden floor.  Petitioner is seeking the Board’s guidance regarding the conceptual plans. 

 

The staff recommendation is based on the Advisory Board Participation Handbook: City of Gainesville’s Guide to Informed Citizen Participation

 

“The responsibility of the Historic Preservation Board (HPB) shall be to: …advise property owners and local governmental agencies concerning the proper protection, maintenance, enhancement and preservation of cultural resources…”

Recommendation

Staff to Historic Preservation Board - The Historic Preservation Board is asked to offer its guidance and raise any concerns it may have for this project that is in the conceptual phase.
