This item is a request for the City Commission to continue mediating the distribution formula for the Local Option Gas Tax.

Explanation

The City of Gainesville and Alachua County Board of County Commission desire to enter into a long term Interlocal Agreement for the distribution of the full 11 cents of the Local Option Gas Tax (LOGT) that would include a single distribution formula and triggers for periodic reviews and potential modifications to the distribution formula and began discussions on October 9, 2017.
