Explanation
The City of Gainesville advertised Invitations to Bid (ITB) last March 2018 for the Annual Agreement for Painting of Traffic Signal Mast Arms and Poles. Four painting contractors responded with bids; however, one withdrew due to a pricing error on their submittal. The remaining three qualified bidders; Viktor Construction Corp, Worth Contracting, Inc., and Santa Cruz Construction, Inc. were reviewed for selection. Viktor Construction Corp., was the lowest qualified bidder with a total contract in the amount of $119,100.
Fiscal Note
The bidder’s costs are $119,100.00. The FY18 budgeted amount in the City’s Capital Improvement Plan for capital projects is: $181,861.16.
Recommendation
The City Commission authorize the City Manager to execute the contract with Viktor Construction Corp, for Annual Agreement for Painting of Traffic Signal Mast Arms and Poles, subject to approval of the City Attorney as to form and legality.
