Update on UAB's Draft Energy & Utility Policy (B)

Explanation

On October 30, 2018, the UAB met with the City Commission and received approval to create an energy and utility policy.  After a series of workshops, the Board again met jointly with the City Commission on April 23, 2019, to provide an update on their progress with the policy.  Following that meeting, the Board continued working on the draft policy and presented the resulting document to the City Commission on October 22, 2019.  During that meeting, the Commission gave direction for staff to do an analysis of the policy to determine impacts and advantages for the utility and the City.  Staff completed the analysis and presented their findings to the UAB in a workshop on October 20, 2020.  The Board discussed staff's analysis and determined that they would make no changes to their draft.  The Board is prepared to present the policy to the City Commission.
