Update on LED Mass Change-Out and Smart Streetlight (B)

Explanation

On October 1, 2017, the City Commission adopted an ordinance requiring GRU to replace all streetlights with LED fixtures. Since that time, GRU staff has worked with the Public Works Department to develop the project and undertake implementation. Currently, GRU is working with the City of Gainesville Department of Technology, since March 2019, to coordinate and support the Smart Streetlight project.

At the request of the City Commission, staff will provide details about their projects and the current status.
