Regional Transit System (RTS) Disadvantaged Business Enterprise Program Proposed Goal for FY20-FY22 (B)

This item is to present the Disadvantaged Business Enterprise Program Proposed Goal for FY20-FY22 to the RTS Citizen Advisory Board.

Explanation

Regional Transit System (RTS) is required to establish a Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) Program in accordance with regulations of the Federal Transit Administration (FTA), 49 CFR Part 26. Part of the program requirements includes establishing a triennial goal for DBE participation in FTA-assisted contracts; the proposed goal for FY20-FY22 is 3%. The proposed goal and methodology are included in the back-up. RTS welcomes comments on the proposed goal through the month of July. Members of the public, as well as local minority, women's and small business groups are invited to provide input and comments on previous practices that may justify further adjustment of the proposed goal. The proposed goal must be submitted to the FTA for review on August 1, 2019.
