GRU's Proposed FY21 Budget (B)
Explanation
On May 28, 2020, staff gave presentations to the City Commission on GRU's baseline fuels budget, fiduciary responsibilities, credit ratings, cash, debt, liquidity, and the GFT. Staff returns now with presentations on customer sales and revenue, revenue requirements and a request for approval of GRU's proposed FY21 budget.
Staff is presenting the same information to the UAB on July 9, 2020, and asking them to make a recommendation to the City Commission. Due to requirements for virtual meetings that agendas not be modified after they're posted, staff will not be able to include the UAB's recommendation in this agenda item, but will deliver their advice to the Commission via email prior to the July 13, 2020 meeting.

Recommendation:
The City Commission approve the General Manager's recommendation as follows:
1) No base rate increases for the electric, water, wastewater or gas systems
2) A 1.84% inflationary increase in water/wastewater connection charges
