Explanation
Gainesville Fire Rescue provides fire protection equipment, including bunker gear, for over 170 full-time firefighting positions. The maximum useful life for bunker gear is 10 years. The department distributes the replacement costs for bunker gear over multiple years. A new purchase order is needed for bunker gear purchases from Municipal Equipment Company during FY21 in an amount not to exceed $150,000.

Recommendation
