Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant Program FY 2020 (JAG) (B)

Explanation

This is a Memorandum of Understanding agreement between the Alachua County Board of County Commissioners, the Alachua County Sheriff Office (ACSO), and City of Gainesville Police Department (GPD) of disbursement of funding available under the Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistant Grant Program Solicitation (JAG).  Upon award receipt, the City will use the funds for Law Enforcement equipment including cameras and associated expenses and NIBRS training.

Fiscal Note

The Sheriff agrees to provide the City funds upon receipt of award.  The amount the City agrees to use is $64,073 of the total of $106,697 for equipment including cameras and associated expenses and NIBRS training.

Recommendation:

 The Commission to approve the funds for distribution as approved by legal for form and legality.
