Discuss Funding for 2020-2021 Urban Forestry Workshop Series (NB)
Explanation
The City Beautification Board typically collaborates with the Tree Advisory Board and City Urban Forestry staff on the annual Urban Forestry Workshop and funds the event. Due to COVID-19, the Tree Advisory Board is proposing hosting the workshop as a series of webinars over three months, from January to March 2021. Hosting the webinars will require a Zoom webinar license, and the cost depends on the number of attendees. The license is either $40/month for 100 or fewer attendees at each event, or $140/month for 500 or fewer attendees at each event. At this time, it is uncertain how many people will attend. Over a 3-month period, this would equal a minimum cost of $120 or a maximum cost of $420.
Recommendation:
The City Beautification Board discuss funding for the Urban Forestry Workshop series and approve a maximum amount to be spent.
