This item is a request to provide the Zero Waste Subcommittee an overview of recent initiative undertaken by the Solid Waste Division to educate the community about reuse, reduce and recycle.

Explanation

The Solid Waste Division has undertaken three significant initiatives to inform the community about issues related to waste:  the online Gainesville Resource Recycling Guide, the Facebook Page titled City of Gainesville Zero Waste Initiative, and the Curbside Audit Program. Staff will discuss these initiatives.
