Overview of Department of Sustainable Development (NB)

Explanation

One of the duties of the Department of Sustainable Development (DSD) is coordinating the regulation of all land development activities within the City.  This includes developing and implementing the Comprehensive Plan, the Land Development Regulations, and Building Permit Review. In addition, DSD is working with a consultant on an Inclusionary/Exclusionary Housing Policy Study. Each of those functions impact the provision of affordable housing.

Andrew Persons, Interim Director of the Department of Sustainable Development, will provide an overview of the DSD’s duties and activities, particularly as they relate to affordable housing and the update of the Comprehensive Plan.

Recommendation

The Affordable Housing Advisory Committee receive information.
