Explanation
The American Public Power Association will hold its annual national conference from June 20 through June 23, 2021 in Orlando, Florida, as well as a virtual session on July 13 and 14, 2021. The conference is a good resource for employees and board members to learn about best practices, innovations, operations, governance and myriad other utility-related topics. GRU traditionally budgets funds each year for two UAB members to attend the conference and has done so in Fiscal Year 2021.
Fiscal Note
The cost to send two board members to the conference will vary depending on a variety of factors, but is estimated to be approximately $5,500 for both the in-person and virtual sessions.
Recommendation:
The board choose up to two members to attend the conference.
