Interim City Attorney Employment Agreement (B)

Explanation

At the September 27th, 2021 Special Meeting of the City Commission, the Commission selected Daniel Nee as the interim City Attorney and authorized the Mayor to negotiate an employment agreement with Mr. Nee.  An agreement has been reached between the Mayor and Mr. Nee and is presented to the Commission for approval. 

The agreement is consistent with all other Charter Officer agreements and is included in the item as backup.

Fiscal Note

The funds necessary to compensate Mr. Nee for salary and benefits is included in the Fiscal Year 2022 operating funds.

Recommendation

1)                     The City Commission approve the employment agreement with Mr. Nee; and 2) authorize the Mayor to execute the agreement subject to approval of the City Attorney as to form and legality.
