Food Waste Pilot Update (B)
Explanation
The City received a grant from the United States Department of Agriculture Community Compost and Food Waste Reduction Project. The grant is, in part, to determine the fiscal viability of using community composters to collect food waste curbside.
On August 3, 2021, Community Builders provided an update on the project six months into collection operations.
Community Builders conducted a food waste pilot participants survey. The results will be discussed.
