Commissioner Adrian Hayes-Santos: Request to Schedule a One Gainesville Meeting (NB)

Explanation

In previous meetings over the years, commissioners have discussed duplication of services across the city government with a focus on how to make our government more efficient and provide better services to our neighbors. Now would be a good time to discuss this topic before we get into the budget.

Recommendation:

General Manager and City Manager bring back information for a discussion of all duplicated services and their corresponding budgets, areas of potential consolidation of duplicated services or other areas of cooperation with a goal of the Gainesville government working and communicating as one City. The meeting would be scheduled at a GPC in January.
