This item is a request to approve the recommended award for Request for Proposal (RFP) #CRAX-220025-GD and execute separate contracts with Elite Sandblasting and Painting Inc. and Quick Painting Group Corp.
Explanation
On November 8, 2021, the City’s Purchasing Division issued a Request for Proposals (RFP) for
Painting and Pressure Washing Services for the Neighborhood Paint Program for the Gainesville Community Reinvestment Area (GCRA). The RFP process was implemented in compliance with, and as required by, Florida Statutes and City of Gainesville policies.
Five (5) proposals were submitted by the deadline. The submissions contained technical, written, and price proposals. An evaluation team consisting of City staff evaluated and ranked proposals. The highest-ranked proposals were submitted by Elite Sandblasting and Painting, Inc. and Quick Painting Group Corp. The City desires to enter into a contract for Painting and Pressure Washing Services for the Neighborhood Paint Program with these vendors.

Fiscal Note
The not-to-exceed amount of $222,000 is allocated for Painting and Pressure Washing Services for the Neighborhood Paint Program from the GCRA fiscal year 2022 budget.
Recommendation
City Manager to City Commission: Authorize the Interim City Manager or her designee to execute contracts with Elite Sandblasting and Painting Inc. and Quick Painting Group Corp. for Painting and Pressure Washing Services for the Neighborhood Paint Program, subject to approval by the City Attorney as to form and legality.
