Interim General Manager for Utilities Employment Agreement (B)

Explanation

At the January 27, 2021, General Policy Meeting of the City Commission, the Commission selected Anthony Cunningham as the interim General Manager for Utilities and authorized the Mayor to negotiate an employment agreement with Mr. Cunningham.  An agreement has been reached between the Mayor and Mr. Cunningham and is presented to the Commission for approval. 

The agreement is consistent with all other Charter Officer agreements and is included in the item as backup.

Fiscal Note

The funds necessary to compensate Mr. Cunningham for salary and benefits is included in the Fiscal Year 2022 Gainesville Regional Utilities operating plan.

Recommendation

 The City Commission 1) approve the employment agreement with Mr. Cunningham; and 2) authorized the Mayor to execute the agreement subject to approval of the City Attorney as to form and legality.
