Fourth Contract Amendment to Extend the Agreement for Solid Waste Collection with GFL Solid Waste Southeast, LLC (NB)
Explanation
The City executed the Amended and Restated Agreement for collection of solid waste, recyclable materials and yard trash dated January 28, 2014 with WCA of Florida, LLC (WCA) now known as GFL Solid Waste Southeast, LLC (GFL). The City Commission approved the First Amendment to this Agreement on May 20, 2021 for the extension of the Agreement through March 31, 2022 and two additional three-month extensions through September 30, 2022 to allow time for the procurement process for a new contract. To allow for finalization of the new contract, this Fourth Amendment provides for an additional three-month extension until December 30, 2022. The current contract will be extended under the same terms and conditions.

Fiscal Note
The cost of this service is budgeted in the FY23 Solid Waste Fund Operating Budget.
Recommendation
The City Commission approve the Fourth Amendment to the Amended and Restated Agreement between the City and GFL Solid Waste Southeast, LLC for Collection of Solid Waste, Recyclable Material, and Yard Trash and authorize the City Manager or designee to execute the appropriate contract documents, subject to approval by the City Attorney as to form and legality.
