Appointment to the Pension Review Committee (B)

Explanation

The Pension Review Committee (PRC) has had a vacancy since October 2020. At their March 25, 2021 meeting, the PRC created a Screening Sub-Committee comprised of three PRC members to review the PRC applications (as allowed per R-83-38 Section 2a) for the vacancy. Additionally, applicants were invited for interviews with the PRC during the March 25, 2021 meeting. At the conclusion of these interviews, the PRC made a motion to recommend to the Board of Trustees that they not appoint a member to the PRC from this pool of applicants due to their limited experience and that the City continue to advertise for the PRC vacancy. 

Recommendation:

The Board of Trustees for the General Employees' Pension Plan discuss appointments to the Pension Review Committee and take appropriate action.
