The Bash (B)
Explanation
The BASH is Gainesville’s FREE music festival featuring national, regional, and local artists and showcasing hometown heritage through art, music tributes, food, libations, and family fun. The festival will kick- off the holiday lights at Depot Park for the season. National artists included, the legendary Mavis Staples, Drive-By Truckers, Lilly Hiatt and a special intimate performance by Drive-By Truckers front-man, Patterson Hood. Other artists range from rock 'n' roll, Americana, blues, soul, and country and there will be tributes to local legends like Tom Petty, Charles Bradley, Bo Diddley and even a surprise performance from a Heartbreaker himself.
The BASH is also dedicated to making a bigger impact in Gainesville by providing support to local charity, M.A.M.A’s Club located in Porters Quarter. The BASH believes music should be accessible to all families, and this year, the BASH is expanding the kid's zone and turning it into the ultimate kid's bash with free kids activities, music, performances, art & crafts, workshops, and family fun!
The event will be held November 4 - 6, 2022, with VIP Kick-Off Party at The Wooly, Nov. 4, and the Two-day Festival- Depot Park, Nov. 5 - 6.

Fiscal Note
The Bash is requesting a $50,000.00 sponsorship from the GCRA. Any amount approved by the GCRA will be funded from Fund 1132 - Economic Development Finance Program.
Recommendation
The GCRA receives a request for sponsorship of the Bash Festival from Ms. Sarah Hedges, and considers the same. If favorably reviewed, the request may not to exceed the maximum amount of $5,000.00, in order to remain within the City’s procurement policy, as well as to align with previous awards in a fair and equitable manner.
